    ***Your Tasks and Responsibilities***

    * Pumping & Fluid Distribution: Act as the lead engineer for LH2 pumps, valves, and active feed lines; represent these competencies in technical reviews with Airbus departments, Tier-1 suppliers, and research partners.
    * System Architecture & Interface Design: Define the architecture of the active feed chain, including submerged or external LH2 pumps, mass flow controls, and phase change; analyze and design critical interfaces between the cryogenic tank and the downstream power plant.
    * Cryogenic Component Engineering: Specify requirements for high-speed cryogenic rotating machinery and flow control components, focusing on minimizing heat leak while maximizing suction performance (NPSH) and durability.
    * Safety & Pressure Management: Develop safety and fail-safe concepts for pressurized feed lines, defining procedures for "cool-down" cycles, inerting, and emergency shut-off.
    * V&V and Cryogenic Testing: Lead the Validation & Verification (V&V) strategy, including designing cryogenic test rigs to validate pump performance, seal integrity, and flow accuracy under flight-representative conditions.

    ***Desired Skills and Qualifications***

    * Academic Background: Master’s degree or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Cryogenic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related thermofluids discipline.
    * Technical Expertise: Proven experience in the design and integration of cryogenic pumps (centrifugal or piston) and fluid control components.
    * Cryogenic Knowledge: Deep understanding of cryogenic heat transfer, vacuum insulation, management of "Boil-Off Gas" (BOG), leakage management and two-phase flow physics.
    * Software & Tools: Proficiency in system simulation tools such as Python, Amesim, or MATLAB/Simulink for transient fluid analysis.
    * Standards: Knowledge of aerospace standards (e.g., ARP4754, DO-160, DO-178, DO-254).

    Your tasks and responsibilities

    Task 3: Work with Metrology Equipment to do Measurement campaigns for R&T, analysis and proposal for improvement of technology according to the relevant maturity level and in relation with suppliers

    Desired skills and qualifications

    You have the following skills and experience:

    Bac+5 engineering degree level
    Experience in metrology or mechanical engineering (apprenticeships and internships included )

    Your tasks and responsibilities
    The Metrology Test Intern will play a significant role in the validation of next-generation aircraft components and processes, ensuring compliance with rigorous aerospace standards
    This involves :
    Executing precision measurement protocols in a research and development environment
    Execute dimensional inspections using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) on experimental parts, prototypes, and tooling
    Develop, modify, and optimize CMM programs using specialized software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso) based on CAD models and engineering drawings
    Conduct analysis of measurement data, comparing results to engineering specifications and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements
    Assist in the setup, calibration, and maintenance of various metrology equipment, including Laser Trackers and Optical Scanners
    Perform measurement uncertainty analysis and contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory test procedures
    Document and present test results and findings to the R&T engineering team


    Desired skills and qualifications
    Enrolled full-time student in the area of Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or a comparable or an equivalent field of study
    First practical experience in the field of metrology, measurement technology or testing is a plus
    Fluent in German and English
    Foundational knowledge of GD&T
    Experience with at least one major metrology tool (e.g., CMM, optical scanner)
    Proficient in using CAD software
    Technical Skills (Preferred) helpful will be experience with statistical analysis tools (Python/MATLAB or JMP)
    Hands on mentality will help for doing test planning and test and measuring campaigns
    Soft Skills Strong attention to details
    Excellent analytical skills
    Ability to work independently in a fast-paced R&T environment.

    Deine Aufgaben und Verantwortlichkeiten

    Sicherstellung der Betriebsbereitschaft des Flugzeugs in den Produktions- und Flugtestphasen gemäß Programmplan
    Durchführung von Flugzeugsystem-Tests sowie Austausch elektronischer Komponenten
    Funktionsüberprüfung (u. a. Wiring-checks, Steckerverbindungen) und Dichtigkeitskontrollen nach AMM oder RTI
    Dokumentation und Bearbeitung technischer Einträge im Airbus LogBook (ALB) und Customer LogBook (CLB)
    Vorbereitung und Abfertigung von Flugzeugen zu Triebwerkstests, Test- und Auslieferungsflügen
    Betreuung von Kunden während der Auslieferungsphase und Abarbeitung von Beanstandungen
    Die Bereitschaft zur Schichtarbeit (2-Schicht-System) sowie gelegentliche Samstagsarbeit wird vorausgesetzt .


    Erforderliche Kenntnisse und Qualifikationen

    Abgeschlossene luftfahrttechnische Berufsausbildung (bspw. Flugegeräteelektroniker) mit mehrjähriger Praxiserfahrung, idealerweise mit CAT A (Avionic) oder CAT B2 Lizenz
    Fundierte Kenntnisse im Umgang mit technischen Flugzeugdokumentationen sowie Prüfgeräten und Werkzeugen
    Einschlägige Erfahrung im Bereich der Flugzeugwartung ist von großem Vorteil
    Ausgeprägte Teamfähigkeit, eine praxisnahe Mentalität und hohe Kundenorientierung
    Verhandlungssichere Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse (technisch) in Wort und Schrift aufgrund internationaler Dokumentation und Kundenkontakt
    Gültige Fahrerlaubnis der Klasse B
