Key responsibilities
Support the monitoring and reporting of a ca. EUR 730bn investment portfolioSupport various internal projects concerning data analytics and investment monitoringSupport process enhancement and automationAd-hoc requests (e.g. portfolio and data analysis, capital market research on Bloomberg)
Key requirements / Skills /Experience
Working hours: up to 20 hours per weekEnrolled student in a relevant field (Business mathematics, business informatics or finance) throughout the whole working student time!Excellent team player who enjoys working in an international environmentGenuine, demonstrated interest in data analytics, capital markets and investmentsStrong analytical skills, attention to detail, with a willingness to learn and ask questionsA quick learner who can work independently and proactivelyMicrosoft PowerBI experience is a plusPrevious working experience (e.g. internship in banks, asset managers, insurance companies and IT firms) would be a plus but not necessary

Job purpose/role
Allianz Investment Management SE (AIM) in Stuttgart is responsible for the investment strategy and its implementation for the German Life and Health insurance entities of Allianz. In particular, we manage the portfolio of Allianz Lebensversicherungs-AG, the market leader in life insurance in Germany.
You will be part of the Investment Strategy Team. In this role, you will actively contribute to the development and implementation of our investment strategy to achieve superior portfolio returns for our policyholders, while navigating sustainability, Solvency II, and local GAAP steering needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an investment team managing a global and highly diversified portfolio of more than EUR 300bn in assets under management, offering plenty of opportunities to learn and develop.
Key responsibilities
Contribute to steering our investment portfolios and developing AIM's investment strategy based on fundamental market analysis.Work on new investment strategies, asset class segments, and investment vehicles. Collaborate and align with asset managers for the actual implementation in our portfolios.Participate in the development of our state-of-the-art analytics platform for data-driven investment steering.Engage in the global Allianz Investment community, exchange knowledge, and work on joint projects across international hubs and teams.
Key requirements/skills/experience
Master's degree in economics, business, (financial) mathematics, financial engineering, or another quantitative area.Strong academic profile; PhD or CFA would be a plus. Ideally, first work experience, preferably in insurance, banking or asset management industry.Understanding of capital markets and their macroeconomic drivers, with a clear willingness to learn.
