To keep up with this demand on both disk and network capacity, we continue to expand our Data Centers in every region. This requires talented people to build manage. We hope it is you! We are currently looking for an experienced, detail-oriented individual to join our Data Center Engineering Operations Team. This committed group works to maintain the critical physical infrastructure that supports our Data Center Organization within Amazon. Specifically, this team works to ensure that the data center operate at 100% availability while maintaining first-class customer service to the teams and groups within the data centers. The Data Center Engineering Operations Technician (EOT) is responsible for operating and maintaining all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center. The EOT serves as a technical resource to support Amazon within its owned and operated data centers. This is data center equipment that supports mission-critical servers must maintain better than 99.999% uptime. EOT s are also tasked with driving innovation while reducing operational costs in the facilities. Responsibilities: - You will assist in the operation, and maintenance of all electrical,mechanical, and HVAC equipment within the Data Center/Facility. - You will assist in maintenance and monitoring of all Data Center systems to include incidents/events, problems, changes, monitoring, problem escalation/notification/resolution and all other aspects of Data Center support. - You will monitor and troubleshoot of all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems,voice/data, chiller systems and generators. - You will provide assistance to contractor or data center engineer to ensure proper operation and maintenance of all facility equipment covered under level I plus areas in which they are certified such as making and running fiber optic, electrical certification, HVAC repair (training/certification), UPS and or generator certifications and training. - You will provide assistance to contractor or data center engineer to deploy new equipment, such as, building racks, cabling, and other tasks as necessary. - You will responds to internal Rack customer maintenance, repair and additions/expansion requests through the ticketing system, - You will perform site walkthroughs to verify proper operation of Facility Equipment and Monitoring Systems. - You will maintain changes in state in Mission Critical infrastructure in support of corrective/ preventive maintenance. - You will review the Test quality, performance, safety, and reliability of products, equipment, processes.     BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
    - Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production
    - Experience in MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems
    - Experience with power management and power monitoring systems
    - This role requires you to be a national of an EU member state.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    - Knowledge of critical data center equipment
    - Knowledge of engineering documentation, electrical diagrams and standard operating procedures

    Job summary
    Join the world class safety culture at Amazon Web Services (AWS) and be part of supporting the largest cloud computing infrastructure team as a Regional Safety Engineer. As the Regional Safety Engineer you will own the Health and Safety function of your respective area. You will be responsible for improving the health and safety of our data centers, advancing safety culture, and protecting our employees. Each day you will work with our data center engineers, the people who make the cloud go. They are working with electrical switching equipment, large scale air handling mechanical systems, and critical IT gear.

    You will work closely with experts in security, construction, operations, logistics, compliance, corporate counsel, and human resources to further the global health safety program. You will partner with employees as well as contractors to achieve health and safety goals and improve our already strong safety culture. As AWS increases data capacity you will partner with construction managers to ensure risks are identified and mitigated prior to live operations. You will work in a fast-paced environment where our operations are rapidly changing, advocating safe changes in the face of new infrastructure, new tools, and new products/processes.

    This role is for an experienced Safety Specialist or Safety Engineer. The role's prime responsibility will be to support the safety operations for Data Centers.
    You will be part of a regional and global team that works with internal and external partners to maintain and enhance the safety of operations. Close collaboration with onsite physical security, vendors, compliance officers, risk management, and fire/life safety systems is required. Additionally, you will work with employees and contractors to achieve specific safety objectives.

    You must be an effective communicator, sending clear, concise and consistent messages verbally, in written form, and/or public speaking forums. You will advise, instruct and train company personnel on safety policies and procedures, as well as assist the teams in incorporating and improving our safety standards at their sites.

    You will report to the Regional Safety Manager – EMEA and be responsible for continuing to enhance the safety of operations and construction. Some domestic and international travel is required.

    Key job responsibilities
    Implement safety standards, policies and best practices.

    •Provision and Management of Training: Induction, Refresher and Manual Handling Training as required, develop and deliver training/presentations to support achievement of H&S objectives. Manage the training database for all employees and ensure all H&S training requirements are fulfilled.

    •Collaborate with outside vendors (General Contractors, sub-contractors, Emergency Services) as they relate to operations and construction.

    •Ensure compliance and implementation of global safety programs and local regulatory legislation.

    •Develop and review safety plans for on-site emergencies, special events and other unique safety situations.

    •Perform safety data analysis and create bench marking.

    •Ensure safety record keeping and provide accurate reporting and metrics to support business safety initiatives.

    •Consult and work with compliance teams on safety regulations interpretations and investigations.

    •Develop and implement solutions to eliminate exposure to risks and prevent injury.

    •Adapt to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, strategy and deadlines.

    •Able to work as part of a team and provide safety support to regions outside of local cluster when required.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum 2+ years of field experience in Safety
