The Campus Manager is a key partner responsible for operational excellence and organizational health through business PXT leadership across their campus. Leading a team of HR Partners and HR Business Partners, you will partner with site, business, and HR Leaders to strengthen culture and deliver business results. You translate PXT priorities into clear, actionable campus-level strategy, driving operational excellence, improving employee experience, and building scalable PXT practices that support performance and long-term growth. Success in this role depends on prioritization, sound judgment, and leading through others to drive measurable improvements in attrition, attendance, engagement, and leadership effectiveness across multiple sites. You will be expected to travel and work onsite at an Amazon facility’s, ensuring personal connection and hands-on leadership where needed.

    Key job responsibilities
    PXT Operational Excellence
    Ensure PXT teams across your campus execute with discipline, consistency, and alignment to Amazon standards. Use inspections and data to identify defects, validate process integrity, and reinforce accountability. Own end-to-end operational excellence through rigorous process execution, structured inspection routines, and effective use of tools and data. Ensure consistent documentation standards and timely issue resolution while escalating systemic concerns appropriately. Surface recurring system gaps and usability challenges to central teams, influencing scalable improvements. Promote continuous improvement through standardization and simplification.

    Employee Experience & Culture
    Drive engagement and retention by ensuring site leaders implement feedback mechanisms including Voice of the Associate boards, roundtables, and GEMBA walks. Deliver meaningful recognition programs with budget oversight and execution accountability. Champion safety standards through partnership with site leaders, ensuring consistent execution of safety programs and maintenance of workplace conditions. Maintain building standards through regular inspections and routines. Support community engagement initiatives that strengthen local impact. Monitor employee sentiment through regular floor presence, data analysis, and feedback mechanisms, holding leaders accountable for delivering positive experiences and implementing targeted action plans to strengthen culture.

    PXT Leadership
    Provide oversight on investigations, corrective actions, and employee relations matters, serving as final decision-maker on high-risk decisions including terminations. Manage escalations as primary escalation point for complex issues, partnering with Regional PXT, Legal, and ER teams. Mitigate compliance risks by establishing early warning systems and making high-judgment decisions that balance policy intent with business needs. Partner with country-level Governance teams and Works Council representatives to ensure effective consultation processes on site-level matters, maintaining constructive labor relations and compliance with co-determination requirements. Lead regional change initiatives through effective stakeholder management, removing adoption barriers and modelling positive behaviours. Foster collaboration between site and central PXT teams, maintaining strong partnerships across functions. Drive adoption and optimization of HR technology solutions to enhance efficiency, data accuracy, and employee experience, developing digital fluency and leveraging analytics for decision-making.

    Ops Talent Planning & Org Health
    Support long-term business success through leadership development programs and coaching for operations leaders at all levels. Drive workforce and succession planning to ensure pipeline readiness for critical roles. Detect succession risks and implement mitigation strategies. Conduct talent evaluations across hourly and leadership populations, establishing mechanisms for equitable selection, retention, and performance optimization. Manage underperformance effectively, coaching leaders to address performance gaps and build high-performing teams.


    PXT Leadership & Org Health
    Build a high-performing PXT organization by investing in team development and professional growth. Manage PXT succession planning and promotion decisions, identifying high-potential talent. Create leadership exposure opportunities for team members. Assess team health through engagement metrics and feedback. Manage PXT headcount and resource allocation to ensure appropriate coverage and capability. Translate Amazon priorities into regional execution plans, ensuring alignment between campus operations and organizational strategy.


    A day in the life
    Your day blends business partnering and leadership with operational execution across multiple sites. You'll partner with Site, Business site and HR Leaders on complex organizational challenges while coaching your team of HR Partners and HR Business Partners to elevate their strategic impact. You'll conduct site walks to assess building standards and safety compliance, facilitate employee feedback sessions, and review operational metrics to identify trends. You'll make high-judgment decisions on investigations and corrective actions, manage escalations, and drive change initiatives at scale. Through data analysis and inspection routines, you'll identify systemic issues and influence central teams on scalable improvements. Success comes from your ability to lead through others, balance competing priorities, and drive measurable improvements in employee experience and business performance across your campus.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    - Bachelor's degree or equivalent
    - Extensive experience in human resources leadership or a mix of equivalent leadership experiences (e.g., operations, customer service, retail, distribution, shipping/logistics, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing)
    - Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English and German.
    - Demonstrated success achieving department goals through data-driven workforce solutions and HR metrics
    - Experience supporting and/or leading employee-focused processes such as onboarding, benefits, investigations, training and/or talent management

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    - Master's Degree or MBA
    - Experience supporting hourly, front-line and salaried employee populations
    - Knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and HR compliance
    - Experience building, leading, and developing high-performing HR teams through effective coaching, mentoring, and people management

    A day in the life
    You are managing one or multiple projects that can vary in scope, complexity and duration. Daily tasks may comprise of site coordination with operations teams and contractors on project execution activities or changes; deep diving project progress, schedule and resources, while identifying barriers, creating solutions and driving resolutions. You may be facilitating the planning and/or implementation meetings with projects’ stakeholders, ensuring alignment in objectives, expectations, and the next steps; you would capture and publish detailed notes after each meeting to drive ownership and follow-through on the actions and decisions. You may be brainstorming and developing workaround solutions while mitigating the project delays or design issues. In addition, you may be supporting/training other engineering team members, utilizing the knowledge of Amazon’s safety, mechanical, electrical and controls installation standard and guidelines. Key competencies of this position include insisting on the highest standards ensuring that contracted resources meet schedule, budgetary, safety and quality targets; analyzing and deep diving systems’ performance, inventing and simplifying solutions that allow for improved processes and results; and
