    Position overview and responsibilities for the Financial Crimes Compliance (FCC) Expert role within State Street Bank International GmbH (SSBI).

    Overview

    Becoming part of the Financial Crimes Compliance (FCC) team of State Street Bank International GmbH (SSBI) you will drive and shape the future of the firm’s policies, procedures, systems and controls to prevent and detect financial crimes. The role sits within SSBI’s FCC function and the role holder will take over responsibilities in further developing the program set-up and support the SSBI Group Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) with a diverse set of tasks and varying projects. The role can be performed in a hybrid model from Munich or Frankfurt.

    What You Will Be Responsible For

    As Financial Crimes Compliance (FCC) Expert you will oversee the implementation and maintenance of effective global and local policies, procedures, systems and controls in accordance with global and local laws, regulation and guidance to enable SSBI to identify, assess, monitor and manage money laundering and other financial crimes risks.

    Specifically, You Will Provide advice and challenge to first line of defense in their creation, maintenance and development of effective systems, controls, policies, procedures and training to ensure SSBI complies with Financial Crimes related regulatory and legal requirements Ensure the design and execution of the SSBI risk assessment is in line with local regulatory requirements and provides a holistic assessment of SSBI’s inherent financial crime risks and the effectiveness of the controls that have been implemented to manage those risks Ensure that new, or amended regulatory obligations, industry guidance and best practice applicable to SSBI jurisdictions are appropriately assessed and reflected in its operating procedures and controls Perform quality assurance reviews for the overall SSBI FCC framework and steer holistic remediation activities Manage and support internal and external audits and inspections as well as major regulatory implementation projects Be a trusted advisor and technical expert to SSBI’s business lines and relevant functions on financial crime risks and emerging issues What We Value Strong interpersonal, communication, project and people management skills Proven ability to work independently and adapt quickly in handling multiple/evolving tasks as a result of new engagements and/or re-prioritized deadlines Demonstrable problem solving and decision-making skills in particular when advising SSBI’s business units on the financial crimes risk and issues impacting SSBI’s business operations Deep understanding of core financial crimes risks, in particular money laundering, Know-Your-Customer (KYC) processes and economic sanctions as well as fraud and ABC Recent experience providing advice or guidance on the application of FCC related laws and corresponding controls Strong written and verbal communication skills Self-motivation and the ability to work independently together with different internal and external stakeholders Strong organizational skills Ability to multi-task and be responsible for different tasks / projects Strong relationship management skills Education & Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of relevant industry experience in banking or financial services University degree or equivalent, preferably with a legal background, or significant prior experience as an MLRO or Financial Crimes Compliance expert Expertise in core financial crimes compliance risks (AML, KYC, Sanctions) FCC certifications or trainings would be a benefit Proficiency in German and English We offer Flexible working time Work from home days might be possible depending on the role Depending on legal entity 37,5 or 40 working hours per week Pension plan offering Wellbeing & health programs (anonymous Employee Assistance Program, PME Family Service, trainings) Group accident insurance Mentoring program Regular performance reviews and structured performance management Personal development possibilities and extensive web based training catalogue Free German and English language classes Global Inclusion, Global Outreach and Corporate Citizenship programs Dynamic, diverse, international, and multicultural working environment with English company language About State Street

    Purpose

    Fulfill regulatory necessities to adhere to EBA Outsourcing Guidelines for SSBI IT contracts, which require oversight in adherence to EBA outsourcing guidelines (Service Review, KRI Monitoring, etc.).

    Job Description

    The IT Outsourcing Business Analyst will support the IT Outsourcing Controlling & Oversight function, ensuring that outsourced IT services provided to the bank by both group-internal and external vendors are appropriately overseen. The scope includes all IT outsourcing activities across all branches in Europe.

    Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with EBA Outsourcing Guidelines for SSBI IT contracts.Support the assessment of the impact of IT Outsourcing activities, including associated risks, while taking relevant regulations into account (e.g., MaRisk, BAIT).Determine and implement additions and changes to the IT Outsourcing methodology in response to new regulatory requirements (e.g., DORA).Support the design, documentation, and implementation of further improvements to IT Outsourcing processes, leveraging existing internal control mechanisms, systems, and best practice methodologies.Maintain and enhance appropriate IT Outsourcing governance controls, including reporting, service reviews, and escalations.Maintain appropriate documentation, including risk assessments, inventories, reporting, and policies/procedures.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technical discipline and/or demonstrable experience within a similar technology role.8+ years of relevant Financial Services experience with a good understanding of current Outsourcing Banking Regulations and IT Governance principles.Good understanding of associated processes and tools such as Procurement, Information Security, Service Review, SLAs/KPIs/KRIs.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).Proficiency in EnglishExperienceExcellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and writing skills.Proven ability to collaborate and drive execution at all levels within the organization in a regionally diverse environment.Good networking abilities locally, across other European legal entities, and at the group level.Ability to influence senior management through both personal interactions and the creation and delivery of presentations.Ability to solve problems, develop alternative approaches to problems, and resolve conflicts.RequiredTeamwork and collaboration-oriented with very good interpersonal and organizational skills.Ability to exercise sound judgment as well as to ensure accuracy and quality.Tenacious self-starter with a keen sense of accountability, ownership, commitment to work, and passion for delivering results.About State Street

    The Global Credit Finance (GCF) division is made up of approximately 150 employees in various locations across the globe. It provides a range of credit lending products to potential and existing clients of State Street. The business extends credit to clients from a wide range of products and industries including Fund Finance, Commercial Real Estate, Leveraged Loans, Municipal Finance and Stable Value Wrap.

    An incoming AVP on the team should possess a positive attitude with strong credit and legal LMA documentation skills. The successful candidate will have an ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders to work on participations in syndicated, bilateral or agented credit facilities.

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Structure, underwrite, negotiate and manage credit arrangements for new business and renewals of existing credit arrangements for assigned transactions.Provide effective portfolio oversight and management reporting.Communicate effectively on specific business initiatives and transactions.Collaborate with internal stakeholders in Credit Risk, Legal, GCF Loan Operations and GCF Middle Office on various issues.

    REQUIREMENTS: lending industry knowledge and experience in Fund Finance structuring, legal documentation and credit underwriting.

    Education and Experience

    Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Maths; MBA or CFA a plus but not required. Minimum of 8+ years of Credit/Fund Finance lending experience.Credit Training a plus.

    Skills/Knowledge 

    Demonstrated experience in Credit and Fund Finance work.Strong financial credit analysis, analytical, credit underwriting and problem-solving skills.Expertise in LMA legal documentation.Strong negotiation skills.Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills and ability to present and explain complex transactions.A positive attitude, a client service mindset and high level of attention to detail.Knowledge of EU and UK regulatory frameworks.
